His goals are to continue his education especially in veterinary dentistry and someday work on a nice sunny Island with white sand beaches and calm waves.

Aubrey

Veterinary Technician

For Aubrey, her journey into veterinary medicine began with a deep desire to understand and protect the animals she loved. Growing up in Bayville, NJ, her family was full of animal lovers — her parents always had a home bustling with pets, and that love for creatures great and small became part of who she is. It was the loss of her childhood dog to heartworm disease that truly shaped her path. That experience ignited her determination to help pets live longer, healthier lives and inspired her to start working in veterinary care right after high school in 1994.

Aubrey began her path as an assistant at Lanoka Oaks Veterinary Center and, through years of hands-on training, grew into the skilled, compassionate veterinary technician she is today. From drawing blood and setting catheters to monitoring anesthesia and supporting clients through both joyful and difficult visits, she takes pride in every aspect of her work. Her favorite part of each day is being in the exam room — connecting with clients, answering their questions, and helping them understand how preventive care like vaccines and bloodwork can make a world of difference for their pets’ health.

At home, Aubrey’s life is just as full of animals and heart. She shares her life with her husband, Dean, and their son. She has a house full of reptiles, amphibians, and salt water fish and open for more pets in the future. When she’s not at the clinic, Aubrey loves spending time with her family at the beach or volunteering with a friend’s pug rescue. One of her most cherished memories is her 2008 wedding in the Bahamas — a joyful family gathering that remains especially meaningful to her even today.

For Aubrey, every day in veterinary medicine is a chance to honor the love and lessons that began long ago — one healthy, happy pet at a time.

Ann

Client Care Receptionist

For Ann, joining the Lanoka Oaks Veterinary Center team in 2015 was more than just a career move — it was life coming full circle. Growing up, Ann always dreamed of working with animals, but as life unfolded, she took a different path. After years in the insurance industry, where she served as an assistant to the owner, she decided it was time for a change. She went back to school for technical training in computers. Soon after finishing her coursework, Ann interviewed at Lanoka Oaks Veterinary Center —  from the moment she walked through the doors, she knew she had found her place.

As the youngest of four siblings, Ann learned patience, connection, and how to care for others from an early age— qualities that shine through in her work today. Her natural warmth and calm presence have made her an essential part of the team and a familiar, friendly face for clients and their pets. She finds genuine joy in helping people — listening to their concerns, easing their worries, and celebrating the special bond they share with their pets. Whether she’s greeting clients with a smile, resolving questions, or helping guide a worried pet parent, Ann takes pride in knowing she’s part of a team that truly makes a difference.

Born and raised in North Jersey, Ann has always had a deep appreciation for nature and life’s simple pleasures. She loves spending time at the beach, tending to her garden, and camping with her family — moments that keep her grounded and grateful. She’s been married to her soulmate for 33 years and takes great pride in her daughter Stephanie, son-in-law Manny, and two grandsons, Avery and Dakota, who fill her life with laughter and love.

Her home is also filled with the happy chaos of two Shepherds — Little Guy and Ryder Blue — while her daughter’s two dogs, Captain and Bucky Barnes, complete the family’s four-pawed pack.

At Lanoka Oaks, Ann’s journey has truly come full circle — where her early love for animals and lifelong dedication to helping others meet in perfect harmony.
